Rescue is a National Charity, founded about twenty years ago by a small
group of enthusiasts, to help all Collies in need, whether through home
circumstances changing or straying, ill treatment, abandonment which
are only a few of the reasons for which Collies come into our care. ....The Charity deals with about 200 referrals each year, involving a network of volunteers across the Country to ensure that all dogs in need of help can be collected, kennelled, cared for and placed in secure loving homes. Such activities are always in need of financial support as well as more people to allow us to protect those dogs needing our help. |

New homes are always wanted for dogs of all ages and needs and we look for people who would consider one of the following options :- ADOPTION To undertake total responsibility for the care of a dog, assuming the basic criteria of care required is followed. FOSTERING SHORT TERM BASIS To undertake the Care of a dog on a short term basis to save the dog being in kennels whilst a permanent home is found. A payment can be made towards food if necessary and the Charity will cover the cost of veterinary care.

| FOSTERING PERMANENT BASIS To care for an elderly dog where assistance can be given for special diets if needed but all veterinary costs are fully covered, accepting that the older dog may need a greater level of attention by a vet. |

You
can sponsor one of our rescued collies. For as little as £12 a year
[one pound a month] or more if you wish, you will receive for every
dog you sponsor a Certificate bearing your name and a picture and the
history of the animal you have sponsored. These certificates may make
an ideal birthday or Christmas gift. This scheme enables us to rescue
collies and feed and care for them in their twilight years. |
