I would like to welcome you to the Caronlea kennels based in Limavady. Limavady is located in the North West of Ireland. Limavady is derived from the gaelic "Leim An Mhadaidh" and means "leap of the dog". So how did I get involved with dogs?......I grew up on a farm so I have been surrounded by animals all my life. My first dog was a Border Collie. She was not a show specimen but a working sheepdog. I was keen to get involved with showing dogs. The opportunity arose to purchase a well-bred Shetland Sheepdog and I jumped at the chance. I kept a few Shetland Sheepdogs over 15 years and had great fun showing them. I am still involved with the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Northern Ireland and I am also on their judging list. Work took me away from home for a while so the Shelties retired on the farm. I got married and settled into my new home and I decided the time was right to purchase another dog. As a young girl it was always my dream to own a "Lassie"..............

My first Rough was from the "Ileyda" line.

It was great to be back in the show ring again to see all the familiar faces from years ago.

'Killkenny international show' Harry at 7 months and only his second show won Best Puppy and Puppy Group 3, the following day under breed specalist Fran Kaye he was awarded the Green Star.
He was entered in the puppy stakes and from a hugh entry of 84 he was placed 4th.
